Michael LeBoff is an experienced business trial lawyer, having represented large and small clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation, including banking and lending, real estate, trade secrets, business torts and breach of contract disputes. Some of his professional highlights include:

• Winning a jury trial in Orange County Superior Court for a national printing company in a breach of contract action.  Mike tried the case single-handedly and obtained a judgment for 100% of the amount sought by his client;

• Winning a jury trial in which Mike represented a bank seeking to enforce commercial guaranties executed in connection with an $11 million construction loan;

• Obtaining summary judgment for the sellers of property in Emerald Bay against a buyer asserting fraud and breach of contract claims.  Mike also got his clients a judgment awarding them their costs and attorneys’ fees, and successfully handled the appeal of the summary judgment ruling.  (Dick v. Beall, 2011 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 3993 (May 27, 2011));

• Defending a national restaurant chain in a jury trial involving breach of contract and fraud claims in which the client not only obtained a complete defense verdict, but was also awarded 100% of its counterclaim as well as its attorneys’ fees, expert fees and costs;

• Obtaining a complete defense verdict for his client, a major pipe manufacturing company, against breach of warranty and product defect claims in a four-week jury trial.

Prior to joining Callahan & Blaine, Mike worked as a litigation attorney at Hodel Briggs Winter LLP and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP.  Mike was also Senior Counsel for ACC Capital Holdings Corporation, where he managed and resolved class action, consumer finance, employment and insurance litigation for a major nationwide mortgage lender and servicing company.  Immediately out of law school, Mike was a law clerk in the United States District Court, Central District of California.

Mike co-chairs the Programs subcommittee for the Commercial and Business Litigation committee of the American Bar Association.  Mike also writes monthly Ninth Circuit case updates for the committee website.  Mike previously co-chaired the Banking and Lender Liability subcommittee and served as an assistant editor for the Commercial and Business Litigation Journal.
